One alternative to a comprehensive form with many topics is to use a few key words as the starting point for preparing and executing an appraisal interview. In this approach, the main priority become the areas where the employee is feeling the most dissatisfied, compared to their own wishes and expectations (alternative 1), or the areas with the biggest discrepancies between the manager’s and the employee’s assessment (alternative 2). The topics included on the form must be adapted to fit the company’s priorities.
